Every once in a while, we find the need to see a demonstration of down-home-let-your-hair-down craziness. You know, get in touch with your inner redneck. Saturday night while up at the farm, we attended a good 'ol fashioned Demolition Derby. It was actually a pretty family friendly event and we had a great time! Here are some highlights from the night:
I think the only thing Sam said all night was "Wow! Cool!"
This is a picture of the car in the video after the dust settled!
There was a new event at the derby this year. Two people rode around on a four-wheeler. The driver had a balloon stuck to his helmet and the passenger behind him had a bat. The idea was to ride around the arena trying to knock the balloon off the other drivers helmets while not getting yourself killed. Brad and my dad think they want to do this next year. It was one of the best parts of the night! Too funny!

Boys, Cars and destruction, sounds like a match made in Heaven! Love it!
I love that picture where the boys can't look away! I just know mine would be the exact same way!
That looks like too much fun! They used to always have those in Logan and we always wanted to go...but you know...we never got around to it. We'll have to find one and go! I love Redneckin'!
We all need a little redneck love now and again! My girls would totally love it. And CG would be willing to suffer through it....for them! ;o)
I thought my recent 4-wheeling experience was exciting enough...but with balloons and bats. Hummmm...that adds a whole other adventure!
I, too, love the picture where the boys can't take their eyes off the show.
Benson loves Demolition Derby's unfortunately it has been a few years since we have been to one. You gotta love 'em!

As a rule, I try not to get jealous of people while reading their blogs...but I have to tell you this one did it!!! I could seriously go to a derby every weekend. SO much fun!
